Final reflection

 In this last post I'm going to write a final reflection about the subject answering to the questions that we have from the Learning Diary

WHAT DID I KNOW ABOUT WHAT WE HAVE DONE THIS COURSE?

When we started I thought that I would know most of the things because I'm really into ICT. I knew things like how to use Excel, how to create a blog and a lot of websites such as genially, word clouds.

WHAT HAVE I LEARNT?

I have learnt plenty of websites and softwares such as quizlet, hot potatoes, flippity, flipgrid... So I would say that my knowledge about resources has increased enourmously. Apart from that, I learn really quickly how to use them so, I don't have only the list of resources, but also I know how to use them in order to take the most out of them.

WHAT IS GOING TO BE THE MOST USEFUL FOR ME? AND THE LEAST? WHY?

On one hand, I think that the most useful for me would be Educaplay, Quizziz, Genially or Quizlet because you are able to adapt the activities to what you need, you can use these websites in every single grade of Primary Education... They are really versatile.

Actually, I have used Genially and the interactive images in my internship to explain vocabulary to kids from 1st grade, that is one of the most difficult grades because they are still learning how to write and read properly.

On the other hand I don't think I'm going to use in the future Hot potatoes. I think it can be kind of tricky to use and there are other platforms, softwares and websites that are more intuitive and has the same functions.

WHAT HAVE I LIKED THE MOST?

I have really liked the presentations because now we know plenty of different websites to use. Apart from that, learning how to use the interactive whiteboard really come in handy. At the school I am at the moment they use it and it is really versatile, specially with my class, 1st grade.

WHAT YOU WERE ABLE TO DO WITH TECHNOLOGY WHEN THE COURSE STARTED AND WHAT YOU ARE ABLE TO DO NOW

I think that I knew most of the things. The only difference from the beginning and now is that I have a lot of resources and websites.

WHAT YOU THINK TEACHERS IN GENERAL AND LANGUAGE TEACHERS IN PARTICULAR SHOULD KNOW ABOUT TECHNOLOGY

Teacher, specially young teachers, should know the most the better. It is vital to get along with ICT and learn quickly how to use them because technologies are so changeable that we might become obsolete. The world, and as a consecuence, teaching, are changing so quickly that we should be able to catch up without difficulties.

HOW YOU THINK THIS COURSE HAS HELPED YOU TO BE A MORE EFFECTIVE TEACHER

As I have said, I have a large list of resources ready to use in the future. Also I have realised the variety of things we are able to teach using ICT. I have no doubt that I will use them in the future. 

Thanks for teaching us all of these things that come in handy, not only for English but also for the rest of subjects.
